The newly redesigned Cape Nelson Lighthouse website represents a major transformation from its previous, text-heavy format to a visually engaging platform. Tasked with revamping the site, we aimed to create a more dynamic user experience by incorporating video content, mega menus, and creative infographics.

The new homepage features a Mega Menu that allows users to effortlessly select their preferred accommodation, showcased through striking exterior photos and a carousel of interior images captured by our in-house photographer. This intuitive design enables visitors to view each accommodation option in detail, with “Book Now” and “More Info” buttons leading to dedicated landing pages that include floorplans and photo galleries.

A key highlight of the site is the introduction video, which was also produced and edited in-house, offering an immersive glimpse into the Cape Nelson Lighthouse Cottage Accommodation experience. The colour palette was carefully chosen to blend a coffee mocha tone with red accents, reflecting the surrounding cottages, ocean, and the lighthouse’s distinctive tip.

In addition to these visual elements, the site features customised icons, subtle woodgrain backgrounds, and interactive pop-up windows with internal and external photo carousels, enhancing the overall user journey through the cottages.
